The Arc of Laramie County
The Arc of Laramie County
Promoting and Protecting the Rights of People with Disabilities
The Arc of Laramie County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Serving Laramie County since 1954, we support 220+ members through community programs, individual and systems-level advocacy, family education, and connection to local and statewide resources.
One of our greatest strengths is bridging the gap in socialization for people with IDD. We know that meaningful connection is essential to quality of life — and for many of our members, opportunities for genuine community belonging can be hard to find. Through weekly Thursday social and enrichment events, monthly Arc Inclusion Eve-nings, bowling leagues, arts and crafts, holiday celebrations, and community outings, we create consistent, welcoming spaces where members can build friendships, devel-op confidence, and participate fully in the life of their community.
We also provide referrals and one-on-one support to help families connect with the services and resources they need — including Medicaid, DD waivers, and local and statewide partner organizations.
