Sparking Innovation:
Introducing the Bright Idea Grant!
As the Wyoming Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities celebrates 50 years of education, leadership, and change, we are looking ahead to the future. We know the best ideas for strengthening our communities don't come from a boardroom—they come from the people who live and work in Wyoming every day.
That is why we are excited to announce the upcoming Bright Idea Grant Program. Although grant applications will not open until November 2026, we are launching the Bright Idea Campaign this summer to encourage individuals, families, organizations, and community partners to begin thinking about innovative projects that could make a positive difference across Wyoming.
Over the next several months, we'll share monthly Bright Idea Sparks featuring ideas inspired by the Council's Five-Year Plan. We hope these sparks encourage conversations, inspire new partnerships, and help communities begin shaping projects before the application period begins.
There is no application to complete right now. Instead, we invite you to save your ideas, talk with others, explore community needs, and start planning.
Every great project begins with a single idea.
Imagine. Innovate. Impact.
